2ND Meal served on 20 January 2016!

Some of our regulars and some new members came to our Soup Kitchen to enjoy some hearty home-made soup and vetkoek ( a traditional South African fried dough bread common in Afrikaner cookery).

We served our second meal on 20 January 2016 and subsequent meals will be served every week on Wednesday from 4pm to 6pm

Our members seems more comfortable this week as they willingly posed for our camera. Welcome back!

Lily Community Kitchen Launched on 25 December 2015

Lily Community Kitchen is a community Soup Kitchen devoted to the cause of providing needy families and single individuals with regular meals. We run a weekly soup kitchen that provides nutritious lunch as well as dinner to residents of the Tambo Township in Uitenhage.

The Community Kitchen was launched on Christmas Day 2015. We saw 30+ children coming through to enjoy a nutritious meal!

We would like to invite needy children and families from Tambo Township to come and enjoy a free meal every Wednesday from 4pm to 6pm.
